I'm John Batchler, and I welcome my longtime very good friend and, Henry Miller, a physician, molecular biologist, the Glenn Swagger, distinguished scholar at the Science Literacy Project, a man who is a veteran of the FDA, 15 years, and was founding director of the Office of Biotechnology at the FDA.

And the FDA is a concern most recently to Henry and a revelation to me.

I have always read of anti-vax.

And I've read of Robert Kennedy, the head of the health agencies.

And I've read of these men who come to their jobs preaching against vaccines.

I've puzzled about it.

Why?

What's driving it?

Is it true, Henry?

You and I grew up in Philadelphia.

That we've had all the vaccines they're advising against, and here we are at 78 years old,

products of what you'd have to say, good health for decades.

And the puzzlement is what is their case to deprive the vaccines we enjoyed from children?

It's a mystery that's analogous to those that cause people to believe that the moon landings were staged.

For example, it's psychopathy. These people are mentally disordered.

You know, for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the member of the president's cabinet,

Secretary of Health and Human Services, to say that there has never been a safe and effective vaccine,

is simply wrong. It's irrational.

There is a century of evidence that argues to the contrary.
