I'm John Batchel, and I welcome Gordon Chang at Gordon-Gy Chang to help me understand the conduct of the

U.S. and its allies these last days in the standoff in the Persian Gulf, especially the Straits

of Hormuz. The world waits for a resolution because the price of gasoline, of refined products,

of aviation fuel is under a 30-day window to what is called a tipping point in Wall Street. That's a euphemism for trouble. And we're in that window now,

and so therefore any resolution is welcome. In the meantime, it's time to assess how we're doing so far.

I turn to the blockade, and then there is Project Freedom.

Rebecca, what is the assessment so far,

understanding that the U.S. Navy performs these tasks

as if the impossible we do immediately.

Good evening to you. Today finds the United

States Navy at the leading edge of American foreign policy and truly of world politics, both with

the sea power blockade of Iran's ports, the U.S. Navy's exerting control and clearing a mind-free passage through

the Strait of Hormuz. And then don't forget all the global implications as well. Just a

couple weeks ago, the U.S. Navy out in the Pacific, Admiral Paparo's team seized two Iranian

shadow tankers. So we have a tremendous asset here in our American sea power, two carriers,

a dozen destroyers, the U.S. as Tripoli, so many other assets, including sea drones that I can't

even name. And President Trump is using the U.S. Navy daily as he finesses his state craft with Iran.

Rebecca, one detail before we go any farther.

Is there confirmation that the IRGC or its sister organization in the Iranian Navy, have taken

a shot at the U.S. Navy warships in these last days?

Is that confirmed or speculation?

It sounds confirmed to me because Sentcom has talked about it, but with no specific details.
