I'm John Batchler. That is McCarter, my colleague and co-host American Greatness,

0:20.5

and we're enjoying the

0:22.2

conversation on a grim topic with Malcolm Holnne, Conference of President's major American Jewish

0:26.6

organizations, about the world, the globe, facing oil shortages in 30 days. Wall Street says

0:33.3

30 days to what is called a tipping point when we run out of vital supplies to keep economies

0:39.1

going, already reduced projections for 26 and 27. What we have now is that 30 days for jet fuel,

0:48.1

for diesel, for gasoline, and for shortages. Malcolm, what can you tell us about that 30 days? Is it part of the conversation

0:56.5

on the American and Israeli side? And is it something that we should worry about or are they thinking

1:02.5

ahead? Well, I think it is something to be worried about. And there are deadlines even shorter

1:07.3

than that, including that there's running out of the oil parties, but especially

1:12.4

Iran are running out of storage space for the oil that they are producing. You can only,

1:16.5

you only have limited amount of storage in some of those on Karg Island, which is inaccessible

1:20.5

or filled. And the Iranians, it could be a matter of two or three days when they have to start considering

1:28.4

stopping production. And once you try to stop a well, you can poison it, you can destroy it.

1:34.3

It's very hard to bring it back, very expensive to bring them back online. So that's why the

1:39.8

deadline loops so large. And when you're talking across an area that provides 20% of the oil to the

1:47.5

west, it becomes even, it looms even larger. The OPEC plus countries agreed this week to increase

1:54.7

by 188,000 barrels per day, I think in June, the production, they could do much more. They could have increased it by

2:02.1

$500,000. It will help, but it's not going to make up for the losses. So we are going to look

2:10.4

like higher prices, again, even more increased prices if this drags on. Today, prices went up 6, 7% in response to the attacks

2:21.5

by Iran in the Gulf, and I'm sure that will be even greater. A lot of it has been built in,

2:26.4

but it's still a long way to go. So the energy issue is very sensitive, and especially the
