I'm John Batchler, and I'm joined by my good friend and trusted co-host of many years, Gordon Chang,

at Gordon G. Chang, expecting the meeting between the President of the United States

and the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, in these next days.

We turn to what does the Iran conflict, the Straits of Hormuz, the closing of the exit

from the Persian Gulf, the lack of material flowing out of the Persian Gulf, especially oil.

What does that mean to the conversation between the two leaders?

The headline in the New York Times suggests that these

stories have mixed in a way that is very difficult to make conclusions. China seeks an

advantage with both Trump and Iran as war evolves, writes the New York Times. With President

Trump's visit to Beijing looming, China is pushing Iran to negotiate,

even as its companies export material that could be used by Iran's military. Gordon, a very good

day to you. I translate all that is China, yes, we're supporting Iran, we're sending weapons systems,

we're providing satellite communications so they

can target Americans. All that's expected of us because we're allied with Iran. But at the same time,

we want a better deal on trade. Good day to you, Gordon. Good day, John. And your measure of trying

to combine being an enemy supplier with wanting to be a traitor

with the United States in some benevolent universe, does this work, Gordon?

Well, you have to ask the person who sits at the Oval Office.

Because the question is, is the United States going to allow China to get away with that?

You know, China has been an enemy combatant in the Iran War, providing everything, everything to the Iranians, except for troops, pilots and sailors, combat personnel.

But everything else, diplomatic support, propaganda support, targeting information, economic support, weapons.

And so, you know, this is highly unusual. And the president of the United States shouldn't allow
