I'm John Batchew with Mary Kessel, Ukraine.

The war continues.

The casualty rate climbs, especially on the Russian side. No change in weather in the Kremlin, to my understanding. And yet, Mr. Zelensky,

traveling around Europe and talking in all manner of venues, is most concerned it is said that the policy makers have

moved on from Ukraine to the Middle East and that Ukraine is not now receiving the attention

nor the money promised because the EU has not yet to raise.

And I believe the number was 90 million, I believe that was the number.

It's a big number, pledged to Ukraine in order to continue the war and rebuild the economy.

One war too many, Mary? One war too many, Ukraine?

Well, whether or not it's one more too many, it's still a war and it needs to be

resolved. And the United States over the past several years has tried to hew a middle road

where we give just enough support to Ukraine and Europe gives just enough support to keep them

fighting but not to give them enough

support to win a decisive victory.

You know, to Ukraine's credit, they have managed to stall the Russian advance and even push it

back in recent weeks.

Ukraine has also developed such an innovative defense industry that they've now signed three

decade-long export agreements with

three Middle Eastern states and are looking at 11 more countries in the Middle East and

potentially eventually the caucuses. So, you know, they're not helpless as they come asking us

for assistance. I think Zelensky has tried very hard to argue that Ukraine is not a bilateral battle between Russia and Ukraine,

with Russia bringing the aggressor, Ukraine the victim.
