and the snakes are moving. It gets too hot for them. They move south where the colder air is and

where they can find a doorway to slip under or a child's backpack to fall asleep in or better yet under the front seat of an

automobile and come out just as they're shifting gears. However, it is also true that you can go

where the snakes live naturally. Jeremy, a sea snake. Is it dangerous? Sea snakes are dangerous. In fact, most of our sea snakes around the Australian coastline

are venomous. The good thing is, though, John, they are even more scared than the land snake.

So typically a sea snake, they will hide in places where humans typically don't swim.

And if they do see a human, they will try and get away.

But having said that, if you see a sea snake, try and get away from it.

Because they are very scared, but they're also, like the land snakes, very, very defensive.

And once they latch on and get that venom into you, you're pretty much in a world of hurt.

So this is, venom as strong as the Eastern Brown, which I understand is top, is the apex predator.

Well, actually, not quite, I should say.

The brown snake can kill around about 200 adult humans in a single bite.

The venomous sea snake, only about 100, but I guess it's all very relative.

One of those things is latching onto your body, whether it's 100 or 200, it'll pretty much have

enough venom to cure you on that given day.

So, you know, they're only slightly dialed down with the venom, but still highly, highly venomous.
