I'm John Betts with my good friend and colleague Jeremy Zakis. He's in New South Wales

at Sydney, and we're looking at the end of summer for the southern

hemisphere for Australia.

And the end of summer means that it's time to assess how the season went for the cricket team.

Very well, thank you very much, for the Australian team.

Not so for the English team.

And at first I thought the English team was a little villainous

because it was always coming up with excuses why it continues to lose ashes to Australia. That's the

tournament they've been playing for 150 years or more. It meant to humiliate Australia with the

All-England team. But now, well, there's a turnaround.

The last several times, the excuses have been weaker and weaker.

And so this contest, there are five cities, and they play over several weeks.

You knew, they played in Western Australia right away in a stadium near, I can believe, near Perth.

You knew from the first day that the English team was going to lose.

You could tell.

They were, they had no hustle.
