I'm John Batchew, Simon Constable, my good colleague, and he's in the south of France,

but we're observing

the troubles in London for the Prime Minister Kier-Starmer.

It's a job that has troubles, but this one surprises me.

There is an allegation, under investigation, as I understand, that the Prime Minister

permitted or watched or vouchsafed actions by labor sympathizers

to threaten media personalities, newspapers, if they published or printed or spoke on air,

BBC 4, negative of Labor Party, what do we know, Simon?

Well, what we know is that there's a cabinet minister called Josh Simons, who has been basically put under investigation early this year for identifying journalists who had published an article

unfavorable to the Labour Party.

And that involved them working with a think tank that also went and connected with

British intelligence and falsely linked the journalists to pro-Russian propaganda.

So they were being smeared.

Josh Simons is named, smearing journalists for doing their job of writing critically of

Labour Party.

And at this point, and then they took that and did what?

What about Russia? Is Russia labor? There's no Russian labor. There is no Russia in labor, but

in labor, but there are a lot, lot of Russians around in the UK. They're basically trying to link them falsely to Russian propaganda.

So if Russia says something about the Labour Party and they are believed to have been quoted,

then that's the idea behind this. It just seems utterly ridiculous. If you're in Parliament,

you are going to be punched metaphorically

by the media. That is the nature of the job in the UK, and it's expected, and they should just
