I'm John Bachelor with Jonathan Shanzer, the executive director of the Foundation for

Defense of Democracies.

Follow the reporting of the FDD's website or the Long War Journal,

especially about the threat by the very large army, calling itself Hezbollah from Lebanon.

I begin there because the doubts about the Hezbollah continue.

The leadership of the Hezbollah was decapitated, as Jonathan indicated earlier.

But there are probes underway all the time.

The Israelis have been keen on maintaining a border that is secure using quadcopters and drones and other other methods of surveillance.

And yet, in the event of a conflict in Iran, is there one version of what Hezbollah will do?

Will they stand down?

Will they fight?

Will they threaten?

What's the thinking in Jerusalem, Jonathan?

Well, that's the big question, John. You have to remember that there's still roughly 20% of the

Hisbalah arsenal still intact after the war. There were, let's say, 150 to 200,000 missiles

that they still had in their possession, precision guided munitions, long-range rockets.

And so that means that there could be up to 40,000 of them still left.

That is not insignificant.

30 to 40,000 is a large arsenal.

And so the Israelis are very keen to make sure that this terrorist organization does not join the fray if and when fighting begins in Iran.

We're looking at reports today, John, that the Israelis have warned the government of Lebanon and Hezbollah, that if hostilities break out in Lebanon, then it's not just the Hisbala infrastructure

that will be destroyed, but rather the Israelis will also take out things that are being used by
