The first deal is the European Union worth 18, 19 trillion assets, with the subcontinent's

dominant for power, India.

And there's a very happy smile on the faces of the European Commission President, Ms. Vendelai,

the India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the European Council President Antonio Costa.

Very happy smiles.

Why?

Because this deal was 21 years being prepared in the kitchen of trade.

The competing headline comes immediately.

U.S. to cut tariffs on India to 18%. India agrees to end Russian oil purchases.

This is about the Trump administration and its now advantageous trade deal with India.

And this was, oh, about eight months in preparation.

So 21 years versus eight months and what is to be done.

Sadden on a very good evening to you, it looks like double news,

but I want to start with the long-weighted European Union.
