This is John Batchel, a conversation with colleague General Blaine Holt, the United States Air Force, retired,

about the enormous amount of weaponry, warplanes, warships going into the area around Tehran,

the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, into the Middle East.

What they all mean, especially given the anticipation that the strike called off some days ago

may be put back on, on the Tehran regime that is murdering its own people.

The KC-135 is here the question and answer. It's a tanker. It has lots of fuel on board.

And Blaine very carefully explains why that makes it a perfect weapon system. Here he is. Blaine Holt. More of this tonight.

So we have an acronym that we pronounce knocktog. I have flown the 135, and it is nobody kicks ass without tanker gas.

And what the gas does, it puts up this blanket of gas above a theater. And then the fighters,

the war fighters, they can loiter, they can go on a strike, come right back up and take a sip of gas

and go back again.

And it gives the warfighter that three-star I told you about, the JTF commander,

all kinds of new add-on options or time-sensitive targeting, the ability to shift on the fly.

And what we do is we rotate those tankers on station.

They come on station.

They have their customers. They might on station, they have their customers.

They might have a pop-up in Afghanistan.

I had several pop-up customers

when troops would come under fire,

and we would be right there for them

to convert that gasoline into weaponry

that saves lives on the ground.
