But now, thanks to a front-page story in the Globe and Mail, this most significant newspaper in Canada to political conversation, the map of an invasion by the U.S. in Canada and Canada's

resistance as a Mujah deem guerrilla force and the idea of killing Canadians and

Canadians killing Americans, it's breathtaking. There it is. So what about Europe as well?

Gordon, you have a question for Charles on these matters of Canada,

siding with Europe, siding with the G7?

I don't know.

I'm totally lost in this speculation.

If anybody had told me the Globe and Mail would publish such a piece,

I would say, you're kidding, but I'm not saying it.

Go ahead, Gordon. Charles, this might be a little

bit out of your area, but it does reflect this issue of Canada, Europe, and the U.S. The Canadian

Air Force is considering a big purchase of planes, and the two candidates are the U.S. F-35.

And I think it's Sweden's Gripon.

The Gripon is a far inferior plane to the F-35.

And I understand that the technical assessments from the Canadian Air Force are by the F-35.

But will this current hostility change that calculus, and will Canada go with the Gryphon?

That's a very interesting question.

I think certainly, no speculation on the F-35 is that it exposes Canada's the possibility of the United States having control

of these aircraft when they're in Canadian custody or refusing to provide replacement parts

or upgrades into the software and so on.
