I am so excited about today's episode because I had never read anything by this author before.

This was my first foray into her writing. And it was the perfect first read of anything by Shawna Nequist because this book

hit me right where I have been for the past four and a half years. Her new book, I guess I haven't learned that yet,

talks about how she has had to weigh through challenges and really, really big changes in her

life and grappling with both finding joy, but also dealing with the really hard parts of that

and grappling with it in our bodies and just walking forward

through really difficult things. And even though the things that she has gone through have been

totally different than the things that I have gone through. And she got to move to Manhattan.

And I am still here in the Pacific Northwest. And especially now after reading this book,

really wishing that I was living in Manhattan,

I still found her book so incredibly relatable.

It was like someone really got how hard things have been,

but how you still try to have joy and pursue good things.

This book was such a live well anyway book.

I highlighted so many things, wrote, uh, yes, next to so many paragraphs.

I can't wait for people to get this in their hands,

especially after the past two years, things being so hard for so many people. I think that

this book is going to resonate. It is beautifully written. I mean, she is like an author's author.
