Good morning everyone. Pints with Jack is your favourite weekly C.S. Lewis podcast, where

three friends, Andrew, David and Nat, break down and discuss the works of C.S. Lewis. This season,

we're talking about love, slowly and deliberately working our way through the four loves,

the book where Lewis writes about

affection, friendship, romance and charity. And today is another special episode. When we finished

the previous chapter on affection, Matt and I interviewed people with whom we share Storgie

love. Matt interviewed his friend Christian, and I interviewed my mother and my son.

And today we're going to be doing the same thing with Philea.

Matt and Andrew are going to be interviewing those with whom they share this love of friendship.

To kick things off, we have Andrew.

Well, I found it really appropriate in our chapter on friendship, listeners, to bring in my two oldest and best friends, or let's say longest and best friends.

I have more gray hair than both of you combined. I wonder what Ms. Clarell is doing for you all.

So I'm pleased to welcome to the podcast, Eddie Burhands and Barry Dixon, both joining us from

California where we grew up together. So I wanted to chat just a little bit about how we met

and what unites us as friends. I would love to hear from both of you about C.S. Lewis and

what your relationship with him is. And then as I shared with you, I've got just a few questions that came out of the chapter.
