Nothing is less like a friendship than a love affair. Lovers are always talking to one another about their love.

Friends hardly ever about their friendship. Lovers are normally face-to-face, absorbed in each other.

Friends, side-by-side, absorbed in some common interest. Above all, Eros, while at last, is necessarily between two only.

But two, far from being the necessary number for friendship, is not even the best.

Listeners, as you know, I was in Arizona last couple weeks, a few weeks.

And so it feels so good to be back in my own bed, my own car, my own routines.

You know, I'm just a man of routine. And so that's, and then,

you know, I had something interesting happen. Do you guys ever have it where there's something

in your life that constantly pops up that feels like God's way of constantly communicating

with you? Some verse, some image, some thought.

There's been, for me, the return of the prodigal son has been that in many different

forms in my entire journey.
