In a shocking development in the Derek Chauvin case, the star tribune is reporting that

the feds had a secret plan in the event that Derek Chauvin was acquitted or if there

was a mistrial, the feds would have filed a criminal complaint against Chauvin to make

sure he remained locked up.

Only because he was found guilty on all counts did the feds back off and not file the criminal

complaint.

Now, they're passing it off to a grand jury who may just say no charges.

This is shocking and it strikes at the heart of our criminal justice system.

The trial was effectively pointless.
