This week's episode with my guest Levi Roots was recorded in the most incredible venue in Bristol

in front of a live audience who enraptured with his charisma and story.

Born in Jamaica, he came to the country at the age of 11 not being able to read

or write, leaving his beloved grandmother behind to start a new life on a path that

just wasn't easy. Growing up in Brixton in the 70s

Levi struggled in life ending up in prison a couple of times only to turn his life

around through his sheer determination and returning to his two true

passions in life, music and food and combining them into a business.

His unforgettable appearance on Dragon's Den set his life on a new

trajectory gaining investment and mentorship from none other than Peter Jones. Since then his life has been a whirlwind of success.

Expanding his range to include cooking sources, ready meals, six cookbooks, a new album, and most recently Levi realized his ultimate dream of opening his Caribbean restaurant in Westfield, Stratford.

He's the ultimate role model of someone who can turn their life

around through following their purpose and passion with huge hard work and determination.

He's someone I greatly admire and can't wait to share his story.
