We are two guys in our early 40s and this is Chasing Scratch season 5.

This episode is called Borderline.

It was actually 1983 by the way.

This duet rendition was from the sixth hole of our second major of the year, which is

what we're covering in our episode today.

And we named this episode Borderline not because of this shot, but because that's where

we both felt like we were coming in, both on the borderline of making some real progress.

It was the end of May and both of us had put in more work the first few months of the

season than any season before.

As we've covered in the last few episodes, our strategies had differed over the past

month.

I was starting to see some results based on my strategy of luring how to play, carding

my lowest ever round at the Cardinal of 77, the week before the second major.

Meanwhile, Eli had been focused on making his swing changes, and the night before he

came into North Carolina, he said he was also starting to see that pay off.

I have to tell you, I'm getting, I am finally getting to a comfort level with this swing

left thing, so the last lesson I had with Larry, we had a bit of a breakthrough, two degrees

down, like the contact was awesome.

And so I've been working a crap ton on this, the last, you know, this whole thing the

last few weeks, but I had the lesson on Friday, went to the range that night, and then Nelson

and I played Saturday, and Lenny cue the piercing trajectory music.
