Welcome, everyone. We're now only a few weeks away from wrapping up season four,

where we work through the screwtip letters, screwtick proposes the toast, and the silver chair.

And today we're talking to Rod Bennett. Rod Bennett is the author of Four Witnesses,

the early church in our own words. And it's widely considered to be a modern classic of

apologetics continuously in print for the last 20 years. He's also a familiar voice of media

outlets such as relevant radio

and on popular programs like Catholic Cancer's Live and Marcus Grody's Journey Home. His other books

include The Apostasy That Wasn't, Scripture Wars, and a science fiction novel, The Christus Experiment.

Rod lives in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with his wife of 30 years, Dorothy.

I've enjoyed the show and was very happy to get your invitation.

Well, I was actually trying to think back and remember how exactly we met.

I think we first became friends on Facebook after I read one of your

books. And then I tried unsuccessfully to get Sophia Press to let me do the audio reading

for your book, Bad Shepherds. But then my wife and I met you at a conference. Does that

sound about right? That sounds right. Yeah,

it was it was nice to get to meet you in person. Yeah, it's a shame that that audio book didn't

happen to. It's sometimes the way things happen. I'm okay. I'm over it. Okay. Now,

after we met at that conference, you sent me some notes of a talk that you gave about C.S. Lewis.
