I am librarian emerita from Colby College, where for 35 years I taught courses on J.R. Tolkien, Women and Myth and Fairy Tale, and religious responses to Harry Potter,

which resulted in my book, The Skill of a Seeker, Rolling, Religion, and

Gen 9-11. Last fall, I was taken on as a contract researcher for the Prancing Pony podcast,

which has just been fantastic. I'm also pleased to be a regular correspondent on the Tolkien Road,

which is where people may hear the name, Marilyn, the librarian, and very much enjoy what John and Greta do.

Recently, I had my debut as a voice actor for a couple of small parts on another podcast, the Music of Middle Earth, Jordan Rennel.

I was privileged to live in Wales and in York for a year each time, and I've studied both Welsh and Finnish,
