Welcome, everyone. Pints with Jack is your weekly C.S. Louis podcast, where Andrew, David, and I

break down and discuss the works of C.S. Louis. This season we are eavesdropping on the correspondence

of a senior demon, Screw Tate, as he explains how to tempt the patient, a human assigned to be tempted

screwtap's hellish logic, and forming a battle plan for our own spiritual lives. However, today is Thursday,

and therefore an after-hours episode. And today, I will be talking with someone that I am

incredibly excited to be having a conversation with Father Mark Mary Ames. And first,

a little bit of background information.

He's a part of the Franciscan friar of the renewal.

He was ordained in 2018, lives with the CFR community in the Bronx, a weekly host

of Ascension Presents YouTube channel, co-host of the Poca-a-Poko podcast.

And most importantly, what we'll be talking about

here, author of the book, Habits for Holiness, Small Steps for Making Big Spiritual Progress.

And I want to start actually, before bringing him on, of how this came about and how

his podcast and himself came into my life and has had a huge impact. And so I'm particularly

excited for this one because, and nervous, because the Pocawopoco podcast has genuinely had a

big impact in my life. And so it was about November. And I don't remember how I came across it,

but I was going up to a spiritual retreat in a cabin and this was during a pandemic. And I came across their podcast and started listening to one on, I don't remember the title

of it, but the father's pursuit of us.
