The Screwtape Letters. Letter number 20, Matchmaker.

Welcome, everyone.

Pints with Jack is your weekly CS Lewis podcast, where Matt, Andrew and I break down and discuss the works of CS Lewis.

This season, we're eaves dropping on the correspondence of a senior demon, Screwtape, as he explains how to

tempt the patient, a human assigned to be tempted by Scrutate's nephew, Wormwood. Each week

will be considering a different letter, untwisting Screwtape's hellish logic, and forming

a battle plan for our own spiritual lives.

Andrew Lazzo, it has been a while. It has been too long. How are you doing well?

I'm doing very well. What have you been up to? Well, we have returned from Florida back to Virginia.

I had my first week of classes just last week. Finishing at my inkling's class,

I've got a paper to write, and then I've started my Lewis class at Northwind Seminary.

So we are in full swing with lots of seminary and lots of moving. And then Kristen and I did

this wonderful reorganization. We brought 150 boxes of books with us to Virginia.

And we realized we're only here for another year and a half.

And there are lots of these books that we are not going to read between now and then.

So we have been in the process of boxing up our books and making better space.

So I've got a, I've got the living room to myself for a longer desk.

Kristen has the study, which we call spare oom.

We even have a sign.

And I've got a nice iconostasis on one side and then a bunch of my pictures of Lewis,

including your beautiful drawing that you had made for me for Christmas.
