Welcome, everyone. Pints with Jack is your weekly CS-Lews podcast where David, Andrew, and I

break down and discuss the works of C.S. Louis. This season, we are eavesdropping on the correspondence of a senior demon screw tape

quite excited for this guest because David sent me the book a couple months ago and he told me,

this book, you're going to be interviewing this gentleman. And he actually said he intentionally

selected this because he thought I would greatly enjoy this book and this individual, particularly

because of my love of church history. And I've spent more time in the early church history so I'm reading right now

as I mentioned to you guys in the last episode early voices voices of the early

church and then I have a book after it the four witnesses I believe of the early

church or something and this one this book is going to more focus on the medieval

church and particularly C.S. Lewis

is a guide to help us navigate some of the wisdom from that.

He is Dr. Chris Armstrong, and he is an educator, academic entrepreneur, author, editor, and church historian, trained at Duke University in
