Welcome everyone to Pints with Jack, your weekly C.S. Louis podcast where David Andrew and I

break down and discuss the works of C.S. Louis.

This season, we are eavesdropping on the correspondence of a senior demon screw tape as he explains how to tempt the patient,

a human assigned to his nephew, a demon named Wormwood. Each week will be considering a different

letter, untwisting screwtap's hellish logic, and forming a battle plan for our own

spiritual lives. In this week, you get the duel of Andrew and myself, which is just going to be so

much fun. Actually, Andrew, it's been a pretty good bit since you and I have recorded together.

I know. I miss that. That's one of the highlights of my semester.

It certainly isn't all the homework that I've had to do.

So it's great to spend some time with you again.

Lewis pass away today or is it tomorrow?

Yeah.

So today in the Episcopal Church in America is the lesser feast of C.S. Lewis. And the way they determine the day,

their sainthood begins the day that they die, not the day that they're born. And so their

promotion to the heavenly kingdom is the Saints Day. And of course, today, the 22nd of November,

1963, in fact, the same day within a couple of hours as John Kennedy's assassination.

And ironically, the death of Aldous Huxley, the author of Brave New World.

So today in church is not only Christ the King Sunday, the last Sunday before Advent,
