0:15.0

seeing how they connect and point to Jesus.

Whether you are doing the study yourself or just following along with us here, we are

0:21.7

hopeful that through studying these passages each week, you will see how Christ is not only present

0:26.6

throughout the entire biblical story, but the center of it. Hey, everyone, welcome back to another

0:33.2

episode of a year in the Bible. My name is Alexa, and I'm here with my co-host, Beth. Hi, friends.

0:38.7

Today we're going to dive a bit deeper into the passage that we annotated yesterday, Exodus 40, 34, through 38.

0:44.9

1:16.8

1:23.0

picture in your mind that God's presence is going to dwell. And that's what we see after the completion

1:28.6

of the tabernacle. God's presence comes to dwell within the tent. How crazy would it have been to

1:34.1

actually see God's glory physically come and fill the tabernacle? I feel like I read this story

1:40.2

relatively often, but I rarely sit with that mental image of what that would have actually

1:44.8

been like and how I would think or feel about God if I had witnessed that. So on that note,

1:50.7

what does this passage teach us about who God is and his character? Well, I went into this

1:56.2

yesterday a little bit, but Exodus 40 really shows us God's desire to be with his people. God is holy. He's

2:03.7

distinct and set apart. We are sinful and don't deserve to be in the presence of a holy God.

2:10.3

In fact, the Old Testament shows us that we can't fully be in his presence because of our sin.
