At approximately 3am on the night of August 5th, 1998, a house located on a quiet

back road in Cookville, Tennessee went up in flames. A single story brick rancher at the end of

a long driveway, it sat surrounded by lush fields and woods that rose up into the hills in the distance.

The closest neighbors lived across the two-lane road, still a few hundred yards away, far
