Summary

Welcome to this season finale of Best Friend Therapy, in which we're talking about something we could all do with a bit more of in life - crone energy and the empowerment it brings.

Far from the Cambridge English dictionary’s definition of a crone as an "ugly, old woman", we are talking about the stage in a woman's life when she reclaims her feminine power and agency, and we chart a journey through the stages of maiden, mother and crone, with a view on women's health, responsibilities and relationships.

Emma tells us how the relationship between responsibilty and influence affects our stress levels, and Elizabeth pitches for "Reclaim the Crone" to be printed on a line of T-shirts.

Stay tuned for the next season of Best Friend Therapy - coming soon!

throw a light on the therapy we all need in our everyday lives. Each week we

Friend Therapy. We are talking about something today which is really important

1:05.1

to both of us and yet it's also something that's quite difficult to hook

1:09.2

on to what we actually mean. So if that sounds like your bag, join us.

1:14.2

40 minutes of us trying to work out what we want to say. Then yes exactly

1:18.9

please join us. No. So the serious intent behind this episode is to talk about

1:23.8

crone energy. Now crones get a bad rap because the dictionary definition can be

1:31.4

rather critical. So I looked it up in the Cambridge English Dictionary. You did

it because I can even hear you typing. I know because I suddenly realized it wasn't up on my screen.

1:42.2

Look at me multitasking. My own crone energy there. In the Cambridge

dictionary, a crone is somewhat dismissively described as number one, an unpleasant or ugly
