He would create new social media profiles to follow not only my business but me and I had to strip all the marketing off of my car because a few weeks later I was driving around and he saw me because there was marketing all over my car and called me from a different number. He created another one.

Hey, your business is doing great. I can't wait to see it. I just saw you on this road on this road. So I had to do all that and at which point now I'm afraid to go out. Now I'm afraid to go the grocery store. I'm afraid to send them anywhere because he knew where my son went to hockey.

I'm Jamie BB and I'm Jake that Tula on today's episode of Strictly Stock and we're speaking with Patty Stewart, who's a self defense instructor and private investigator.

Patty was stalked by a man she met online and briefly dated. She reported him to his Air Force team of command, but no action was taken.

Being stalked destroyed Patty's business and her mental health suffered. So she took matters into her own hands and rebounded by helping other women through self defense training and private investigative services.

She's here to share her story of healing as well as tips and advice on how to stay safe.

Patty, thank you for joining us today.

How did you decide to get involved in both self defense and also private investigative services?

So those were a little different. The self defense I was attacked when I was younger and I learned that a black belt is not really helpful.

You need to know a little bit more. So I kind of started to dive into it a little bit more figured out I'm great at talking to people.

I've got that energy I can project in a room.

And when I was working with police departments, the instructors for the self women self defense were normally type a males who, you know, when victims are in the room.

I was like, exactly talk to them more of yelling scream at them and being a victim myself.

I was like, you guys are shutting me down. I am a freaking type a female and you're shutting me down and I'm one of your fucking instructors.

Like this is ridiculous. So I started taking over and that's when I realized I had a knack and I was really good at instructing and it was that first woman that came back and told me, dude, everything you taught me.

I had to use it and it worked. And that was like, oh my god. Okay, I gold mine here because you just gave me a high.

And I'm going to chase that high because now I know I made a difference. Like all I did was teach you some self defense moves, but it worked.

And your life is safer and better now because of it.

So that was kind of what helped me develop it into a business because now I'm chasing that high. I want to help more women.
