He would call some members. He was emailing the whole band thread. He would email that thread. He would email people directly.

So it was just kind of, she was casting out a white net and seeing what he could real it.

I'm Jamie Bebe. And I'm Jake Deptula. On today's episode of Strickly Stock and we're speaking with music producer Kara Buckley, who's being stalked by a former band member.

When Karen and her husband agreed to let a new backup singer into their band, they soon regretted it when he struggled to learn the songs, drank too much at shows and harassed the other band members.

Once it was decided that it wasn't a good fit with the new member, they let him go from the band.

After he was out of the group, he sent numerous unwanted texts and emails showed up at their gigs and became threatening toward the rest of the band.

Things escalated when he spread rumors online that the band had wronged him and he reached out to venues the band performed at in hopes of causing more trouble.

Kara, thank you for joining us today.

Thank you for having me.

So what was your life like growing up?

It's kind of a complex background that I have because my mother passed away when I was just 11 months.

My father had abandoned me by then. So I was adopted at a very young age by my aunt, Nunkle, who I call my mom and dad.

They were pastors so we traveled around a lot.

I just grew up in a household that was very religious and I just really learned a lot about the Bible and I went on to a Christian college.

So I'm very strong with the ministry but I'm also very passionate about music.

Has music always been a big part of your life?

Yes, I recently learned that I was born with my biological father's affinity for music.

He has the same sensitive, perfect pitch that I do and he turns out he became a sound engineer when he was in the church.

Same as me for the band.

And tell us a little bit about your band. When did you start the band? What kind of music do you play?

We are an Irish folk band and we operate mostly out of the high desert in the early area.

We started, actually my husband started it before we were married.
