Good morning and welcome to Pints with Jack, a podcast where normally two enthusiastic C.S. Louis

amateurs get together, share a beverage and discuss a work

hosted by the real-life Lord of the Mark, Sean E. Markezy and the Man of the West, Alan Sisto.

They are passionate Tolkien enthusiasts who invite

to be here. So, although Marie and I inaugurated Tolkien month last week by discussing the 2019

movie, Tolkien, this, I think, is where we're really going to start getting into the meat of things.

In today's episode, Alan and Sean, they're going to be giving us a really solid

introduction to Tolkien's life, his loves, his languages, as well as a sketch of the corpus

of his work, particularly focusing on the book which they are currently discussing on their
