Good morning.

Welcome to Pints with Jack, a podcast where two enthusiastic CS Lewis amateurs get together, share a beverage and discuss a work of C.S. Lewis.

And this season we've been reading, Two We Have Faces, but today is one of our after-hours episodes. And so today I'm joined by Dr.

Brenton Dickerson from his blog, A Pilgrim in Narnia. I wanted to bring him on the show for quite

some time now. So when he started a new blog series on Till We Have Faces, I thought

that was the perfect excuse. So here's a little bit of his background. Besides teaching in the

literature department at Cigham University, Dr. Dickerson is adjunct instructor in literature

at King's College in New York City, Sessional professor in the Centre for Study of Christianity and Culture

at the University of Prince Edward Island, and instructor in spiritual theology at Regent College

in Vancouver, BC. He also does freelance speaking and writing, and is the author of the popular

faith, fiction and fantasy blog, a pilgrim in Narnia. After completing his master's degree in biblical

literature at Regent College, Brenton moved with his wife Kerry and his son Nicholas to their native

home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to teach and write. His academic interests include

how the creation of fictional universes help in spiritual formation, theological exploration, and cultural

criticism. And he's just completed his PhD at the University of Chester, focusing his work on

C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and The Inklings. Dr. Dickerson, welcome to Pites for Jack.
