We are nearing the end of the book of Matthew and it has been such a joy to see Jesus

and behold him on the pages of scripture. Chapter 26 is a long chapter with tons of

information so we better get going.

The chapter opens with the plot to kill Jesus.

We see the chief priest here as the ones that are cold and calculated in their plan to destroy Jesus. These religious leaders

cared more about their position than they did about the truth. They were seeking

after power and would do whatever it took to get people on their side. The words of these conniving

religious leaders stand in sharp contrast to the next scene where Jesus is anointed
