0:27.8	Katie and we are deep diving into the book of John a year-long reading plan where we study the New Testament
0:35.1	one chapter a day for five days a week. Today we are studying John Chapter 4 together.

0:46.3	between Jesus and Nicadamus, a Pharisee, a religious expert,
0:50.8	in which Jesus teaches him that he must be born again to inherit eternal life.
0:57.0	Nicodemus was at the top of the social status in Jewish culture and today we see Jesus conversing with someone at the bottom of a social ladder,
1:06.7	an outsider, the Samaritan woman.
1:10.3	These two people, Nicodemus and the Samaritan woman, are about as different as different could be.
1:15.6	One is an elite religious leader and the other is a woman known potentially for her sin.
1:22.2	One lives his life by the law and the other has been married five times
1:26.9	and now lives with a man who is not her husband.
1:30.2	One is esteemed and the other is ostracide. One is a esteemed and the other is a ostracide.
1:33.0	One is a man and one is a woman.
1:36.0	One is a Jew and the other a Samaritan.
1:39.0	Yet even though polar opposites on many levels, both have something in common.
1:45.4	Both need Jesus for salvation.
