Summary

The sixteenth episode of "The Maps," expands the chilling narrative of the Speed Freak Killers, Wesley Shermantine and Loren Herzog, beyond their known hunting ground in Linden, California. Hosts Shane and Wendy explore the disturbing possibility that their killing spree extended to other states visited during their numerous hunting trips.

This episode focuses on the stories of two women believed to be victims of the Speed Freak Killers, adding a new dimension to the already horrifying scope of Shermantine and Herzog's crimes. The hosts piece together the evidence, witness accounts, and patterns that link these women to the notorious duo, painting a broader picture of their reign of terror.

Listeners will be taken on a journey through the painstaking process of connecting disparate cases across state lines, revealing the challenges and complexities of such an expansive investigation. Shane and Wendy discuss the implications of these potential out-of-state crimes, both for the ongoing investigation and for the families of the missing women.

"Trail of Terror: Beyond Linden" promises to be a gripping and eye-opening episode, shedding light on the far-reaching impact of the Speed Freak Killers. It's an exploration of the dark paths trodden by Shermantine and Herzog, and the enduring quest to uncover the full extent of their crimes.
