I recalled hearing about this case in the past,

but hadn't thought to include it in a series until Leslie Weeby reminded me of it

and her message to me.

In 2002, a vacationing couple went missing from an Ocean City, Maryland beach town.

When their remains were discovered, it would shock the public to find out that a young

couple was responsible for their demise.

As with the discovery, that the murders had been committed solely for the thrill

of attempting to get away with the crime.

This is the case of the killer couple, Benjamin and Erica Cipherett.

On May 31st, 2002, around midnight, an Ocean City, Maryland police unit

responded to a burglar alarm that had been activated at a Hooters restaurant and merchandise store

on 122nd Street.

When they arrived, they observed a jeep tarot key, backed up to the rear entrance of the store.
