In the 1999 French Grand Prix, Heinzheld Frenceston showcased the team's knack for making the most of a dramatic wet race yet again, with a bit of help from the pit wall and a man in a field.

This episode of Bring Back V10s looked at how Jordan pulled off this famous win and all

the other stories going on in F1 in the summer of 1999.

Joining me, Glenn Freeman, to kick things off is Bring Back V10's regular Ed Straw.

So Ed, we'll start with the traditional opening question and the floor is yours.

France 1999, what's the first thing that comes to mind?

It's a slightly left field answer actually, which is appropriate because it does involve

a field.

I actually listened to this race on the radio and was very confused all the way through because

there was so much chopping and changing going on.

You had no live timing or anything.

It was most difficult to keep on top of what was happening. But that was because I was at the

Glastonbury Music Festival. Fortunately, in one of the drier years, so I was sat in a tent on

the Sunday listening to what was going on, which is just why I remember that race. I have a

sneaking suspicion. I've never actually watched the race in full before I reviewed it for

this podcast. I think I probably watched the highlights, but not the actual full thing. So it was

fun to go back and enjoy the race in you. Yeah, it's a brilliant race as well. If you watch this
