He goes and he opens the closet door where our stackable washer and dryer were and he

digs around in there and at this point he's late at night and he the hall is dark and

he has his hand behind his back and he's rushing towards me and he says I shouldn't

have done this a long time ago and he jumps on me and pulls his hand out but as he's

pulling his hand out I'm like oh my god he's shooting me.

I'm Jamie Beebe and I'm Jake Duptula. On today's episode of Strictly Stock and we're

speaking with Jody, we stocked by her ex-husband. Well in her early 20s Jody started dating

a man she met while out with friends. Once they moved in together he began to isolate

her, forced her to drop out of college to work more hours and became physically abusive.

As the violence escalated he locked her in a closet, broke her nose and left bruises

all over her body. Jody knew that if she didn't leave him he would kill her. Once she

was able to get out of the relationship he started stalking her. He followed her, called

her non-stop, vandalized her car, broke into her apartment and left threatening notes.

When he called Jody to say he wanted to talk one last time she called the police in the

situation turned violent. Jody thank you for joining us today.

Thank you for having me. Of course we're glad you're here. Why don't you tell us a little

about your family life growing up? Goodness. So I grew up with my mother, my stepfather

and in a very small suburb of Houston. At the time it was you know it seemed like a very

small town to grow in quite a bit now. But it was a really you know more affluent community.

We had a lot of astronauts that lived there and it was not diverse. It was a really just

not diverse there was not diversity in our school system or in our town. But we originally
