CS Lewis work, The Great Divorce. For new listeners, my name is Matt, and I'm joined by my friend David, whom I would never

cheat out of his spot at a bus stop. Yeah, you wouldn't be able to. I'm English, and so we are

professional cures, so we know all of the tricks. Yeah, you know, he spent a lot of time focusing on this queuing,

and that made no sense to me as an American reading this.

Oh, it makes complete sense to me.

What's your worst ever queuing experience?

I think the first time that I went to the DMV in California to get my temporary

license and then to go back and take the test, I was there forever. I had seen in movies and TV shows.

I knew that the DMV was not a place that people wanted to go to, but until I'd really experienced

it, did I realize quite how terrible it really is.

So seen as you chose something American, my worst queuing experience was British.

And it was when I was spending my year abroad.

I thought I'd broken my nose, so I needed to get an x-ray.

And your national health care system is a joke.

And I spent nine hours in the waiting room for this.
