At age 15, Haley was placed in a wilderness camp, followed by a

therapeutic boarding school. Dylan, a survivor who you'll hear from next week, was also placed

in this Montana boarding school as a teen. Though we're not naming the now closed school in our episodes,

we wanted to reach out to the founder of the institution

to give them an opportunity to respond to a summary of allegations we compiled based on our

interviews and research. In response to an email sent by our associate producer Amy B. Chessler,

their attorneys responded with the following statement. Quote, Ms. Chesler and Ms. Reese, we are the attorneys representing the founder in the school.

We have reviewed your email from the afternoon of Friday, November 7, 2025, demanding a response from our client on or before today, Monday, November 10th, 2025.

This is the first time you have contacted our clients regarding your podcast.

The nature of your email and the short time for a response suggests that you are not interested in the truth,

but want to sensationalize one side of this matter for the purposes of your podcast.
