This is Wayne LaPierre speaking at a press conference one week after the Sandy Hook school

shooting in Newtown, Connecticut in December of 2012.

We need to have every single school in America immediately deploy a protection program,

prove and award, and by that I mean armed security.

Shortly after his speech, Wayne and Susan LaPierre hopped on a private jet to the Bahamas

on the NRA dime.

The trip cost about $70,000.

As they enjoyed the pink sand beaches on the island of El Luthorah, back home, Wayne

was receiving heat for his remarks.

So the NRA doubled down.

They released a commercial which asked the following questions, are the president's

kids more important than yours?

Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are

protected by armed guards at their school?
