My name is Tiffany, and I want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through

the Bible chronologically.

Together, we will explore God's sovereign plan as the events of Scripture unfold and point

to Jesus.

We are making our way through Paul's letter to the Romans, and today we come to chapters

seven through nine.

These chapters are packed with deep theological truths.

Our time doesn't permit a deep dive into these texts, but we will get to unpack Paul's

overarching points.

We will be reminded that we are all sinners in need of salvation, believers have the joy

of living by the Spirit, and will begin a new section about Israel's place in redemptive

history.

Through it all, we rejoice that for those who are in Christ there is now no condemnation

because Jesus has set us free from sin and death.

Yesterday, we ended our time talking about the grace of God through Christ, which leads

to our salvation and being declared righteous before God.

This theme continues throughout the letter and leads to Paul's next point.

As we dive into chapter seven, Paul begins by stating that all people live under the

law, but because we can't keep the law, we don't have victory over sin.
