0:34.5	In chapters 10 through 12, we will complete one section about Israel's place in redemptive
0:40.7	history and begin the final section of Romans where Paul provides practical application for
0:47.3	all the theological truths he's shared.
0:50.6	Throughout these chapters, we will see the depths of God's wisdom and knowledge and we
0:55.8	will be reminded that in light of his great mercy, we present our lives as a living sacrifice
1:02.9	pleasing to God.
1:04.5	We begin today by completing this section about Israel's place in redemptive history.
1:10.6	We started this section yesterday with chapter 9 and complete it today with chapters 10

1:17.1	In the final verses of chapter 9, Paul describes Israel's present state by quoting Isaiah 2816.
1:26.7	Israel had tried to establish their own righteousness through their hypocritical piety as we saw the
1:32.9	Pharisees do many times in the Gospels.
1:36.4	But as Isaiah says, the Israel lights stumble over the cornerstone of Christ.
