And today, we come to a book on our journey that is near and dear to my heart.

A couple years ago, I wrote a study for the daily grace code about the small yet mighty

book of Joel, which was recently released.

And today, we get to take a quick look at the three chapters that make up this book.

view of the themes found within Joel.

Not much is known about the author of Joel.

We do know that the word of the Lord came to Joel in the first verse.

And we know that he was the son of a man named Pethuel.

We can also take some clues from the context of the book itself and state with some confidence

that Joel was from Judah and was familiar with Jerusalem, the leaders of the city, and

the sacrificial system.
