0:34.0	Today, we finish the book of Genesis as we look at chapters 47 through 50.
0:40.5	Once again, we come to some chapters where we rapidly move from scene to scene.
0:45.9	As this book draws to a close, we are reminded once again that God keeps His promises.
0:52.1	The nation of Israel had a long weight ahead of them, but they had a faithful God to serve
0:57.8	and trust.
0:59.4	As chapter 47 begins, Pharaoh welcomes Jacob and his family to the land of Egypt and grants
1:05.7	them the land of Goshen.
1:08.0	We see how far Jacob has come in his faith's journey as he stands before Pharaoh and
1:13.3	states that his pilgrimage on the earth had been 130 years thus far.
1:20.0	But these years have been few and hard.
1:23.6	This language used by Jacob signals his understanding that man's time on earth is leading and Jacob's
1:30.4	personal pilgrimage is nearing the time when he would meet the Lord.
1:35.2	But Jacob still had 17 years with his family in Goshen.
1:40.4	We can only imagine all the memories he pondered in this time, but one thing is clear.
