On yesterday's episode, we talked about this open letter that I wrote to radio folks who may have just lost their job because one of the big three media or three or four radio ownership companies just let like a thousand people go crazy.

And as someone who recently got fired and found a pretty good upside on the other side of that I wanted to share some encouraging words.

So I sent this open letter to the industry and a friend somebody who read it was a friend of mine from like 15 years ago we actually did some business together.

And he reached out just to say hey and check in with me which I thought was cool.

That is cool. That's awesome.

Yeah, except then he said listen when we were working together back in the late 90s early 2000s I was probably a lot more difficult than I needed to be and I've thought about that since then and I'm really sorry.

Oh my gosh, that's so cool.

But I don't remember anything negative about him at all.

That's funny.

I don't remember him being difficult. I don't remember him being high maintenance.

Isn't it interesting what we carry our whole lives that probably other people never give a second thought to I actually felt bad because I hope I never gave him the impression that he was being difficult somehow.

But I had nothing but great experiences with him.

But anyways, we reconnected which I thought was pretty cool.

The upside means living in gratitude, finding the positive in every experience and helping other people do the same.
