2024 it's called Exiles the Church in the Shadow of Empire if you've been

listening to me for more than like five seconds you've probably heard me use the

phrase exile or you know that we are exiles living in

Babylon and you know that's something I've said for many years and so this book is kind of the

culmination of my thinking through the question what is a biblical theology of a Christian

political identity so this book does just that it looks at how the people of

God throughout scripture navigated the relationship

with the various nations and empires that they were living under in order to cultivate

a framework for how Christians today should view their relationship with whatever state or empire that they are living under.
