0:46.8	Most scholars agree that Daniel is the author.
0:50.8	Chapter 1 gives us great insight into who Daniel was.
0:54.8	Daniel was from the tribe of Judah, and was taken into captivity during the first siege
1:00.8	of Babylon in 605 BC.
1:04.8	Chapter 1 also tells us that King Nebuchadnezzar had Israelites from the royal family set
1:12.0	apart and trained in all things Caldean or Babylonian.
1:19.0	This meant Daniel was from a noble family.
1:21.0	We also read that he was handsome, filled with wisdom and knowledge, and perceptive.
1:29.0	Daniel was likely 13 to 17 years old when he was taken to Babylon.
