0:32.1	We've entered a new part of the story of redemption as the Kingdom of Israel has split.
0:37.7	Yesterday, we focused our time on the evil reign of Jeroboam.
0:43.1	He ruled over the newly formed Northern Kingdom of Israel and led them in idle worship through
0:49.8	the creation of two golden calves placed in Bethel and Dan.
0:55.8	Because of this, God spoke judgment through the prophet Ahayja on the house of Jeroboam.
1:02.6	God would raise up a future king and wipe out the lineage of Jeroboam.
1:07.0	We know that to be the Assyrian king, which would conquer Israel over 200 years later.
1:13.2	Today, we focus our time on the Southern Kingdom of Judah, ruled by Solomon's son, Reboam.
1:21.6	As we study the life of Reboam, we will be reminded of God's patience, mercy, and freedom
1:28.7	in Christ.
1:30.9	As we get started, I want to remind us that second Chronicles will detail or expound
1:37.2	on a lot of the events we read in 1st and 2nd Kings.
