But they often get abused and, you know, really take hold of us. And so I want to start with a little bit about your story.

My mother was a crippled girl who had polio

Not only that, but she was abused by her mother because her mother was very ashamed that she was all twisted up and you know looking like she was looking

So consequently her mother never loved her.

My daughter, my mother, okay? And she would lock her in closets and stuff like that and sometimes she would like me in there too. Well let me tell you, my granddaddy said to my mother, we've got to find somewhere for this baby to live because it was being abused.
