We've got an exciting show today folks,

and I'll tell you, we're going to start it off today with a book, an intriguing book that I read over the weekend.

And it's a book about a couple that is on a romantic trip in the Death Valley region of Eastern California.

And a couple that had had some issues up until this with their relationship. Now they're not your typical couple. The man in the

relationship comes from a wealthy family and he's kind of spurning that wealth. He's taken on a more of a metaphysical counterculture type living

and religion. And he's taken on a wife in a kind of a non-traditional relationship.

He's younger, she's older.

And we'll get into this with our guest, Doug Carey, who's written this excellent book that we're going to discuss today.

The name of the book is The Berman Murders, Unravelling the Mojave Desert's Most

Mysterious Unsolved unsolved crime and basically the couple

is Louise Berman and Barry Berman and they're driving to the saline valley. It's a counterculture Mecca. They make it to that Mecca,

but there's some danger that ensues from there. And we'll tell you more about that danger as we get into the rest of the program here in just a moment.
